Objectives of the Institution

• To promote the advancement of professional knowledge and practice in surveying, mapping and charting

• To represent generally the views of the members and to consider and deal with all matters affecting the professional interests of members of the company

• To maintain the integrity and status of the profession

• To facilitate the exchange of ideas and knowledge between members of the Institution

Membership of the Institution

Membership is available to members of the surveying profession if:

• Member: have completed a course in surveying to UG3 standard (or equivalent) and possess at least three years approved post-graduate experience in a responsible position.

• Associate: have completed a course in surveying to UG3 standard (or equivalent) and possess less than three years approved post-graduate experience, or 10 years practical experience with 5 years in a responsible position.
