As many of you know, our major dealership is Leica-Geosystems who are based in Switzerland. Leica’s amazing capacity for innovation, along with its ability and willingness to implement ideas and expectations from the market place is 2nd to none. Leica have now made significant advances in the area of machine control, completely automating the work of earthmoving equipment. Leica are the only survey manufacturer on the market with SmartStation Technology – combining TPS and GPS technology into a single unit. Also the Leica HDS 3D laser scanners, which, through their capacity to collect mass data rapidly and accurately, gives us a further indication as to what an exciting technological future we have in our industry.
We have an obvious interest in the strong and cohesive future of the profession of surveying in Australia, and we particularly support the Young Professional organisations – they are the future of our industry.
